Most of the handles and grips at Smith & Albury Custom Rods are made in our shop, of cork. However, there is a wide variety of other materials available, from wood to EVA (foam) that can be used, depending on your preference. We can also create customized shapes, colors, inlay-work, and sizing to suit your needs and personal taste.

Split-grips are a personal preference on spinning and casting rods. They save weight, improve balance and increase sensitivity.
 

Reel seats can be functional or fancy. Many have hardwood inserts with fittings made of anything from graphite to gold. As with the other components, the final choice is yours and we will accomodate your requests.
